In November of 2002 I had the Gastric Bypass RNY and lost about 85 pounds, but never got to my goal weight. On the day of surgery for the GBRNY I was 365 lbs. About 4 years post-op I started to gain weight back and this was because my pouch had stretched out. I decided to have the Band over Bypass because of the overall success rate I was reading about as I was researching my options.
On September 11, 2013 I was 285 pounds when I had the revision surgery. Since then, I’ve lost a total of 60 pounds and I feel great, only wish I would have done it years ago.”
