He answered all my questions

I was so nervous and scared to reach out and ask for help. After my first connection with staff, I immediately felt safe. My consult with [the surgeon] put me at ease and his care for his patients came through right away. He answered all my questions, was supportive and encouraging. Leading up to surgery, the SmartShape team provided me with all the necessary information and answered any of my questions as they came up. I felt prepared and supported to make this change in my life. The morning of my surgery I felt calm and at ease with the staff and everyone was so incredibly kind and welcoming. My post-op team was patient, encouraging and again so incredibly kind! I knew this was going to be a big change for my life and I knew I could do it but knowing I had the support and genuine care from the nurses, dieticians, patient coordinators, and surgeon made this much less stressful, and I am looking forward to the rest of my life!
