Pomegranate Peach-sicles

Peaches are packed with important nutrients including vitamins A and C, potassium, and iron, one medium peach (only 38 calories) provides nearly 2 grams of fiber. A peach provides diuretic properties; and thanks to its beta carotene, it also helps your skin stay fresh and bright.

They also make the perfect frozen treat! Try this recipe for Pomegranate Peach-sicles.

 

Pomegranate Peach-sicles

Makes: 12 Servings

Prep Time: 2 Hours 20 Minutes min.

 

4 cups peaches, peeled and sliced

2 cups lowfat Greek yogurt

1/4 cup sugar

2 cups pomegranate juice, chilled

 

Combine peaches, yogurt and sugar in blender or food processor. Cover; blend until smooth. Pour mixture equally into 12 paper cups. Place on tray and freeze, about 1 hour or until partially set.

Insert one wooden stick into center of each cup; freeze one hour longer or until almost solid.

Pour pomegranate juice equally into each cup over yogurt mixture. Freeze until firm, 2 hours or overnight. Remove paper cups to serve.
