Lost 70 lbs

I can hardly believe that it’s been a whole year since my surgery, and what a year it has been!!  2017 was the year that I put ‘me’ first – no more excuses.   No more kidding myself that I could lose the weight if I just worked harder.  I made the (difficult) decision to have the surgery, start a workout routine and focus on better health.

I started my journey weighing 235 lbs and now, I’m happy….no, I’m thrilled to say I have lost 70 lbs!   I can’t remember the last time I stepped on a scale and it read 165 !!   I feel amazing and what a treat to go shopping and no longer be restricted to the “big girl sizes”.   I went from a size 20-22 to a size 12-14.   I have more energy to do the things I like to do.   I feel better inside, when I look at myself in the mirror.

I have absolutely no regrets on going ahead with the surgery, it has given me my life back.   Now, I make healthy food choices and going to the gym is part of my daily routine. Since surgery, I’ve had 2 blood tests and my doctor says I’m doing great. Most importantly……I FEEL GREAT !!
