SmartShape Weight Loss Centre was proud to be a Silver Sponsor and Exhibitor at the 4th annual Canadian Obesity Summit (CON) on April 28th – May 2nd 2015 at the Westin Harbour Castle in Toronto.
CON is a unique interdisciplinary conference designed to share current understanding of the causes, complications and treatments for obesity. It is an important event for health practitioners and includes workshops organized by groups working within the obesity space. There were approximately 1,200 attendees at this year’s event. Surgeons and Margeaux Maniatis, RD from SmartShape Weight Loss Centre & Centric Health Surgical were all invited to speak at this year’s event at various topics.
Some areas of interest that were focused at the summit included; Prevention and Public health, Treatment & Management, Environments Conducive to Healthy Lifestyles, Diet, Physical Activity & Healthy Living, Health Law & Health Policy, Weight Bias & Discrimination.
