I started my weight loss journey about 9 months ago when I made the conscious decision to get healthy again. At my peak I weighed 278lbs. I had all of the indications to eventually be diabetic, develop heart disease, and a number of muscle and joint issues that go with obesity. This also had an effect on my mental health. Since my procedure on July 18th 2016 I have lost 65lbs and am still working at it. My goal weight is 200lbs. I work out an average of 3 times per week. I drive truck long haul so I joined a nationally recognized gym that has facilities in almost every town I go through. My doctor has taken me off of the cholesterol medication and my BP runs 118/80. My sleep apnea has all but gone away. I'm healthy once again and enjoying life.

Things are going well overall. My weight is currently 203, my highest weight being 310 and I believe my surgery weight was around 280? I'm down 5 pant sizes. Still very surreal. It's been more than a year now and although it's had its challenges I would do it all again in a heartbeat.

The nurses were so amazing taking care of me after the surgery, they made sure I was comfortable and had everything I needed for recovery. 5 days after surgery I am back to work and feeling well. I would highly recommend the Don Mills surgical team and the surgeon.

I am doing great so far, thank you for your follow up. Weight is coming off, slowly, but it’s still a loss and controlling my hunger is much easier now since the last fill I had. I am 2.6lbs away to being in the 160s, I have not seen that number in the last 15 years. Things are going great.
