I can't believe I'm saying this, but this was the best surgical experience I have ever had! The surgeon and all the staff at the clinic made me feel completely safe and cared for. In recovery, the nurses were there all the time making sure you were comfortable. I never felt alone and I never felt scared. Everyone was really wonderful! The ability to reach out to nurses and dietitians post op has also been such a big help. Having my Mini Gastric Bypass with SmartShape was worth every penny for the amazing care I have received, and continue to receive! I'm so thankful to the surgeon and his amazing team!

It seems quite soon to be asked to review since it’s a procedure that will take time to show results. The nurses went above and beyond, the two over night nurses were perfect. I don’t think there was any way for them to improve.
When it comes to pre-op information there was so much delivered in such a short span it felt overwhelming, I feel like there could have been more hand holding before the surgery, after the procedure, it seemed like someone from SmartShape, called me almost every day for the first week and it was very appreciated. In contrast before the surgery there was one detailed phone call 2 weeks before and 2 very brief calls in the 2 days before. There could have been more check-ins before surgery.
Also it wasn’t until the nurse was reading discharge instructions that we learned that I shouldn’t lay flat, that I needed to be propped up, while we figured it out, it could have been in your check list!
Overall great! Excellent so far!

Everyone was so wonderful especially during the day of my procedure. I was extremely nervous and was on the verge of crying. Everyone, including the surgeon and the anesthesiologist came in to comfort me. It really meant a lot.

I couldn't believe my surgeon called me when I had a question directly for him. Typically a doctor's staff would gather information and respond. This reassured me I had made the right choice.
Every staff member I spoke to was lovely. All of my questions were answered right away, no matter how silly it may have been.
From the morning of surgery to the moment of discharge, I received excellent care. The nurses were amazing, empathetic and ensured I was comfortable always.
What an amazing way to start this new chapter of my life!
