Hey there, Thanks so much for reaching out. I honestly am the happiest I have ever been. I am 6 months into this journey and today I am 100.2 lbs down since October 2017. It is definitely challenging with a lot of mindfulness required, but it is the best decision I have made in my life. I couldn't be more thankful to the SmartShape surgeon and team for the opportunity at a fuller and more manageable life. Although I am not where I would like to be, I am well on my way to my goal! My experience was great! I was scared and nervous the morning I arrived but the doctor and anesthesiologist were great, they helped me relax and let me now that everything was going to be fine and told me that I was in good hands. The nurses were great as well, every time I rang for someone to check on me they were at my side within seconds and always had a smile on their faces. I was very pleased with everyone and everything, now its my turn to shine. Please thank everyone for their time and patience.

I can hardly believe that it's been a whole year since my surgery, and what a year it has been!!  2017 was the year that I put 'me' first - no more excuses.   No more kidding myself that I could lose the weight if I just worked harder.  I made the (difficult) decision to have the surgery, start a workout routine and focus on better health.

I started my journey weighing 235 lbs and now, I'm happy....no, I'm thrilled to say I have lost 70 lbs!   I can't remember the last time I stepped on a scale and it read 165 !!   I feel amazing and what a treat to go shopping and no longer be restricted to the "big girl sizes".   I went from a size 20-22 to a size 12-14.   I have more energy to do the things I like to do.   I feel better inside, when I look at myself in the mirror.

I have absolutely no regrets on going ahead with the surgery, it has given me my life back.   Now, I make healthy food choices and going to the gym is part of my daily routine. Since surgery, I've had 2 blood tests and my doctor says I'm doing great. Most importantly......I FEEL GREAT !!

The personal care and attention I have received from the SmartShape team has been by far the  best medical experience I've had to date. I had surgery Jan 25/18. Things happened quickly and efficiently. I spoke with the surgeon right away and on the day of surgery, but it was nice to know if I needed to I was able to connect with him throughout the process. I think I did not need to because the staff was amazing, kind and informative. They were quick to answer any questions I had. I was flying out and Diana (nurse) had me come in the day before to check my vitals. She did not have to, but that is how much the staff cares for you while you are there. A great experience all around including the surgery.
