The SmartShape Surgeon was exceptional. He kept in contact with me during my pre-operative journey and this helped me to build confidence in myself and ease all anxieties. The staff of SmartShape was always able and available. I found the team to be knowledgeable and extremely patient to ensure that I was well informed about all aspects of my procedure.
I met the Surgeon the day of surgery (his online picture does not do him justice), and I felt as if I had already met him. After surgery, he came to visit me a few times to check how I was doing. My procedure was without any complications and the surgical nurses were so supportive. Unfortunately I was unable to have my surgery at the SmartShape hospital, however the team at Trillium Hospital was just as polite, supportive and informative as the SmartShape team.
I would definitely recommend this Surgeon and SmartShape to my friends and family.

I wanted to update you on my progress. I have lost 57 lbs. since my Gastric Sleeve procedure in February 2017. I went from a size 18 to a 12-14. My blood sugar and cholesterol are way down. I am now experiencing a plateau but I am not obsessing about it. I would like to lose another 10 lbs. I feel and look fabulous. I am getting used to my new stomach and continue to monitor my eating habits. I would like to thank everyone on the SmartShape team. You are fabulous!! It was one of the best decisions of my life!! From start to finish my experience was very positive. From my initial inquiry to date of surgery was just over 6 weeks. After a lot of research I was ready to have the surgery so this turnaround time was fantastic. The Surgeon and all the nursing staff were exceptional - professional, kind and extremely knowledgeable. Hello SWLC Nurses ... I'm continuing to do well and feeling great!! I've lost 90 pounds so far since my surgery date of January 4th/17 which would be just over 4 months. If I take into consideration the weight I dropped with the pre-op diet, which was 35 pounds, I've lost 125 in about 5 months. I eat 3 meals a day, not exceeding a cup per meal, and I basically eat what I want but try to keep it healthy for the most part. I fee the results are pretty impressive and have nothing but praise for the procedure and the excellent care I received!!

I love SmartShape! You've added 20-30 years to my life. I say that obesity is the disease that brings on disease -I used a CPAP machine, I had bad knees - now I feel better, I have a new job, this was life changing for me. I spent 4 months researching my options after multiple diets where I would just gain the weight back and more. Since my procedure 2 years ago, I've had no aftereffects whatsoever. It's like I won the lottery, but money isn't everything - this is better than money, this is my health!

The staff was awesome, attentive and reassuring. They realized I was extremely anxious and did everything to make sure I was ok. The Surgeon even held my hand while they put me to sleep. My nurse Diana was very kind and informative. Even when I called with questions, they were extremely helpful. From start to finish the staff was fantastic.
