What Is Revision Surgery?

Revision surgery refers to procedures performed on patients who have already had bariatric surgery in Canada or elsewhere performed by another physician and have either had complications or have regained or failed to lose weight successfully from the initial surgery. In some cases, patients seek revision surgery for a bariatric surgery procedure that used techniques or technology that are now outdated and need to be upgraded.

Our weight loss surgeons specialize in performing revision weight loss surgery for patients who have previously undergone a LAP-BANDยฎ or gastric sleeve.

It takes specialized skills to redo a procedure performed by another physician. Our bariatric surgeons have extensive training in performing weight loss surgery and specialize in achieving superior results to ensure your revision weight loss surgery helps you achieve the results you want.
