My experience has been all the way postive. From the time I contacted the facility, to meeting the Doctor, right up to post-op. I want to thank you all for making it easy and positive. Making a decision to have the mini gastric bypass was difficult and I felt like a failure to my health. The whole team at SmartShape including my family doctor provided me the confidence and have empowered me to not think like a failure but see it as a solution to a problem that was bigger than me. I was so nervous but the second I arrived at the clinic all the staff and surgeon / anesthesiologist came and talked to me and made me feel so comfortable. The after care at the hospital was amazing. I would 100% recommend my surgeon and his staff to anyone wanting to have this surgery.

I really can't say enough positive things about the Smartshape staff, especially the nurses and my surgeon. I felt cared for and that I was in a genuine and supportive environment. My surgeon was very skilled, patient and gentle surgeon. The morning of my surgery was a very stressful time for me and he and the anesthesiologist were understanding and reassuring. If you are nervous about surgery don't be, these folks understand and will take great care of you. I am 3 weeks post op today, I have lost 30 pounds in total including pre op and I feel amazing! SmartShape far exceeded my expectations for the gastric sleeve procedure. The pre-op information was very comprehensive and easy to follow. I felt very comfortable contacting the team with all of my questions beforehand. The surgeon and medical team were simply outstanding. They responded to my questions and told me everything I needed to know. The after care staff were very caring and highly responsive. I really appreciated the post-op check-ins from the surgeon, the nurses, and the webinars and videos are first rate. The only suggestion I would like to make is to offer webinars at some times that are not during regular working hours. Thank you for a very positive experience. I am on my way to greatly improved health and the whole journey has been very positive!

Everyone has been fantastic so far! The quality of care during my stay at Don Mills was exceptional. Please say a huge thank you to all of the nurses there, as well as the anesthetist! The SmartShape surgeon is a rare find - an amazing surgeon with an even greater bedside manner. The staff at SmartShape have been wonderful in dealing with all of my pre/post op questions and have made me feel comfortable a calm throughout this journey.

I am very satisfied with SmartShape. From the first time I met with the SmartShape surgeon I knew I was making the right decision in transforming my health and lifestyle. My main goal was to get off the diabetic medication. I'm one week post-op and my blood sugars have been within target range and I haven't had to take any medication at all! I would recommend SmartShape to anyone who is ready for a positive change to their health with ongoing support from this amazing team!

I had my surgery 3 weeks ago, and I couldn't be happier with the results. The clinic was amazing, their level of care is unbeatable. My surgeon made me feel so comfortable and even took the time to speak with me in the beginning, one night, quite late.
All the nurses were beyond accommodating. It's been just over 6 weeks front to back and I'm down 35 pounds and feel great. I've even quit smoking and not going back to it after my surgery. I'm very excited to live a healthier lifestyle. I can't thank you all enough for the care and attention you provided me!
